Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of water investment in Suka Muria Village, Purnamasari Jaya Village, Eka Sapta Village, and Sumber Mulya Village, evaluate the effectiveness of the existing system (SPAM Dumaring), and assess the feasibility of developing clean water services in the area with a focus on financial aspects. The research subject is the main source of research data, which represents data on descriptive variables, the subject in this study is the scope of the Berau Regency Government. In this study, the government of Berau Regency. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that Suka Muria Village, Purnamasari Jaya Village, Eka Sapta Village, and Sumber Mulya Village can be said to be eligible for clean water services after going through an assessment in technical, socio-cultural and institutional aspects. As a further development of the assessment of technical aspects including raw water availability, raw water quality, geographical factors and institutional evaluation, the performance of SPAM Dumaring as an existing SPAM in meeting clean water needs can be recommended as the best alternative. For the financial aspect, two alternatives are proposed, so that this aspect can be said to be feasible, namely, a deficit of Rp. 5,010,145,250, - can be considered as a subsidy from the local government, social in nature with the aim of improving community welfare. As well as, integrating water management with existing SPAM, where the costs incurred are only focused on the procurement of pipes, booster pumps, and field work costs.
