Abstract

Various problems occur in construction projects, one of which is the problem regarding the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3). Low implementation of K3 can cause the safety and health of construction workers to be given less attention, so that construction workers feel less safe and comfortable, which can result in a decrease in performance levels. The impact of non-optimal performance results in the project being carried out not being able to meet the quality requirements that have been set. Based on data analysis from observations at the research location, there are inhibiting factors in implementing the occupational safety and health management system on the Kapas-Glendeng bridge widening project Bojonegoro district, namely workforce competency, work experience in the construction sector, job training, ability to access information through the media digital, worker involvement in making regulations, understanding and awareness in wearing PPE, reporting procedures, recording data and documenting work accidents. Efforts that can be made to overcome the obstacles above are: Involving workers who have never attended training and do not have a competency certificate, Workers who are less competent and have work experience of less than 5 years are included in internships on construction projects, Holding training information systems both manual and digital, Actively involving workers in preparing work designs, Implementing a monitoring system for the implementation of K3 in the project and requiring all workers to wear PPE and providing punishment to workers who violate the rules, Creating procedures for recording data and reporting accidents work, Provide guidance to K3 officers in recording and reporting work accidents and documentation procedures.
