Abstract
Kediri is the third largest city in East Java after Surabaya and Malang with a population growth of 289,418 people in 2023. The International Airport will open at the end of 2023 in Kediri. This includes the development of better transport infrastructure, efficient traffic management, as well as the promotion of sustainable and public transport use as a solution to the city's worsening congestion. However, rapid population growth has also led to an increase in mobility and the number of motorized vehicles on the streets of Kediri City, including at the research site in Dhoho Plaza. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to analyze the four signaled intersections using the MKJI 1997 method, Time Slice, and Visual PTV Vissim for three days on Monday, Friday, and Sunday. The 1997 MKJI method is often used in planning to solve the above problems using the method of analysis of its relation to MKJI (1997) and direct field observation. While the Time Slice method is a temporal data analysis method used to examine data or data patterns related to a certain time or time period. This method is often used in the context of time series data analysis, such as economic data, weather data, or other data that records observations or events over a period of time. The hope is that by using data for three days, it will later get a solution to the congestion problem that occurs at the Dhoho Plaza Signaling Interchange. The data obtained was taken from 06.00 to 22.00 WIB. From the traffic volume data, the results of cycle time, saturation degree, queue length will be obtained. Based on the results of the analysis, a cycle time of 90.7 was obtained which affected saturation in each arm of the intersection. There is a potential reduction in signal light waiting time from 135 seconds to 118 seconds by repairing side obstacles. The solution to overcome side obstacles is to improve facilities such as traffic lights and adjust the timing of signal lights. The change in the value of side barriers also has a significant impact on waiting times, queues, and fuel costs at the intersection of Pasar Pahing, with congestion cost efficiency reaching Rp. 22,679,183 in the next 5 years.
