Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self- acceptance and resilience with happiness of fatherless adolescents. This study uses a type of correlational quantitative research with subjects as many as 200 Fatherless adolescent participants with an age range of 16 to 18 years. The data collection technique in this study used Snowball sampling with special criteria for losing a father figure (father who died, father who divorced, father who did not live with the family and did not communicate one to three times a month, or experienced social and economic problems). The results of multiple regression analysis show that self-acceptance and resilience with the happiness of fatherless adolescents have a simultaneous relationship with a score of F = 338.136 with a significance of 0.000 which means 0.000>0.05. This indicates that self-acceptance and resilience with happiness have a simultaneous effect, in the persial test the relationship between the pesial self acceptance variable and happiness is obtained with the results of t = 8.333 with a significance of 0.000 (p = 0.05). This means that there is a positive correlation between self-acceptance and happiness. While the variable relationship between resilience and happiness is obtained with the results of t = 5.811 with a significance of 0.000 (p = 0.05). This means that there is a positive relationship between resilience and happiness.
