Abstract

This research aims to find out and study and find the relationship between self- ef icacy and social support on work stress in PT. X. The sample from this research is employees at PT. X was taken randomly, namely 116 employees and of ice staf using purportive random sampling technique. This research uses quantitative methods, correlational techniques. The instruments used consist of a work stress scale with 20 items, a self-ef icacy scale with 15 items, and a social support scale with 15 items whose validity and reliability have been tested. Data analysis was carried out using the Spearman rho correlation test to evaluate the influence of the independent variables (self-ef icacy and social support) on the dependent variable (work stress). The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that self- ef icacy has a significant negative correlation with work stress of 0.004 (p < 0.04). This means that the higher the level of work stress, the lower the level of self- ef icacy tends to be. Meanwhile, the results of multiple linear regression analysis show that social support has a significant negative correlation with the dependent variable (work stress) 0.001 (p > 0.01). This means that the higher the level of work stress, the lower the social support in the workplace.
