Abstract
The construction of the Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road, the final segment of the Trans Java Toll Road spanning 25.6 km in Section 3 between Probolinggo Regency and Situbondo Regency, aims to enhance convenience, reduce congestion, and facilitate the distribution of goods and services to support economic growth. Bridges, which connect roads separated by obstacles, are designed to withstand various loads with main structures including foundations, substructures, and superstructures. This study aims to analyze and evaluate bridge structures due to discrepancies in soil investigation results between the contractor and the planner consultant, as well as calculate additional implementation costs resulting from these differences. The classification of soil site classes is based on SNI 2833-2016, single pile bearing capacity calculations use the Luciano Decourt Method, and group pile capacity is determined using the Converse-Labarre Method. Bridge structure calculations adhere to the Circular Letter of the Directorate General of Highways No. 06/SE/Db/2021. Structural analysis is conducted using the Finite Element Method (FEM) with the Midas Civil software. The study results indicate changes in soil site class classification between the contractor's and the planner consultant's investigations, impacting seismic design criteria. These changes significantly affect bridge structures, particularly the piers, requiring numerous adjustments to accommodate seismic loads resulting from the altered soil site classification. In the pier structure, increases in pile foundation length and number, as well as pile cap dimensions, resulted in a cost increase of 172.77%. Meanwhile, in the abutment structure, changes included increased foundation depth and additional reinforcement in the pile cap, leading to a cost increase of 16.41%.
