Abstract
Mojokerto district is one of the main agricultural production areas in East Java. According to data from the Mojokerto Statistics Office, rice production in 2017 reached 333,511 tons. This shows that agriculture, especially rice production, is one of the main sectors of Mojokerto district's economy. One of them is Kutorejo sub district, which has 2,832 km2 of agricultural land. However, due to the lack of surface water during the rainy season, groundwater is often insufficient to meet irrigation needs. Therefore, P2AT (Groundwater Development Center) has made production wells and built groundwater irrigation networks (JIAT) to ensure adequate water supply in several Mojokerto districts. The objective of this study is to understand the hydraulic properties of groundwater in Kutorejo sub-district of Mojokerto district. This study aims to understand the hydraulic characteristics of groundwater in Kutorejo sub-district, Mojokerto district, focusing on aquifer characteristics, hydraulic properties, and groundwater hydraulic mapping. The characteristics of groundwater in Kutorejo Subdistrict can be known through aquifer grouping by overlaying the Hydrogeology Map and Subdistrict Boundary Map. Meanwhile, the groundwater potential in Kutorejo Subdistrict in this study was analyzed using the aquifer test with the Chow Method and the Cooper-Jacob I Method. The analysis resulted in parameters such as transmissivity value (T), permeability coefficient (K), and storage coefficient (S'). The results of transmissivity (T) and permeability coefficient (K) values are used as parameters in mapping and then processed using QGIS software to create contour maps based on predetermined parameters. The mapping results show that the potential and characteristics of groundwater in Kutorejo Sub-district consist of aquifers with medium to high productivity. The aquifers are divided into two groups that have hydraulic properties represented by the transmissivity value (T) and permeability coefficient (K), and storage coefficient (S').
