Abstract

Beton adalah campuran dari agregat halus, agregat kasar, semen, air dan bahan aditif lainnya yang mana merupakaan material yang sangat populer dipakai dalam bidang konstruksi pembangunan. Dengan perkembangan pembangunan ini juga diiringi dengan kebutuhan khusus sebuah bangunan seperti bangunan dengan sifat kedap air, mudah dicetak dan memiliki kuat tekan yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu berbagai percobaan dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dari sifat beton yang diperlukan, salah satunya menambahakan material material yang dapat meningkatkan kuat tekan seperti abu terbang atau fly ash. Abu terbang sendiri memiliki sifat pozzolanic dan cementious yang berarti abu terbang memiliki ukuran yang sangat kecil dan halus yang mana dapat mengisi rongga-rongga kecil pada beton dan bersifat mengikat. Oleh karena itu peneliti ingin melakukan penelitian yang memanfaatkan bahan abu terbang dan pengaruh penggunaan abu terbang terhadap sifat mekanik beton alir dengan komposisi penambahan abu terbang sebanyak 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% dan 20% dari volume semen. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai slump flow tertinggi 67,67 cm pada campuran FA0%. Pada percobaan berat isi basah tertinggi didapat dengan nilai 2371,13 kg/m3 pada campuran FA20%. Nilai tertinggi percobaan berat isi kering adalah 2390,8 kg/m3 pada campuran FA 20%. Pada percobaan resapan beton didapat nilai terendah dengan nilai 2,32% pada ampuran FA 0%. Hasil percobaan kuat tekan didapat nilai tertinggi 45,97 MPa pada campuran FA 20%. Hal ini menjadikan penambahan abu terbang sebanyak 20% masuk kedalam campuran yang optimal untuk digunakan dari hasil penelitian ini.
