Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara religiusitas, self-esteem, dan body dissatisfaction pada santriwati di pondok pesantren. Lingkungan pesantren yang menekankan nilai religiusitas terkadang bertentangan dengan pengaruh media sosial yang mempromosikan standar kecantikan modern, sehingga memicu body dissatisfaction (Rodgers et al., 2011; Sari, 2021). Data menunjukkan 35% santri di Jawa Timur (Hidayatullah, 2020) dan 40% santri perempuan di Jawa Barat (Sari, 2021) mengalami ketidakpuasan tubuh. Religiusitas dapat menjadi faktor protektif, tetapi pemahaman yang kaku tentang modesty justru berpotensi meningkatkan tekanan (Abdullah, 2020; Rahman, 2021). Self-esteem yang rendah juga dikaitkan dengan persepsi negatif terhadap tubuh akibat perbandingan sosial (Wardani, 2021; Zulkifli, 2022). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan uji korelasi dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa religiusitas dan self-esteem memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap body dissatisfaction. Religiusitas yang tinggi dapat membantu individu menerima tubuh sebagai amanah Tuhan, namun dalam beberapa kasus, tekanan untuk memenuhi standar tertentu justru memperburuk body dissatisfaction. Self-esteem yang rendah memperkuat pengaruh perbandingan sosial dan standar kecantikan tidak realistis terhadap ketidakpuasan tubuh. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya membangun self-esteem yang sehat serta pemahaman religiusitas yang berorientasi pada penerimaan diri sebagai ciptaan Tuhan.
