Abstract

Family caregiver memegang peranan penting dalam perawatan pasien kanker payudara. Meskipun begitu, kondisinya masih belum banyak diperhatikan, dimana studi mengenai family caregiver di Indonesia masih terbatas, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan kualitas hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara problem-focused coping dengan kualitas hidup pada family caregiver pasien kanker payudara. Desain penelitian berupa penelitian korelasional. Sampel dari penelitian ini yaitu 74 orang family caregiver pasien kanker payudara, yang diperoleh dari purposive sampling. Kriteria sampel dibatasi pada family caregiver yang berada dalam usia produktif sebagai pelajar atau pekerja, serta telah mendampingi keluarga yang mengidap kanker payudara dalam rentang waktu 0-1 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif yang signifikan pada kedua variabel tersebut, dengan tingkat korelasi sebesar 0,836. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi kecenderungan family caregiver dalam menerapkan problem-focused coping, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat kualitas hidupnya.
