Abstract

Education is a deliberate effort to improve the quality of human resources by motivating and accommodating student learning activities. Students who study actively at school are needed as a form of smoothness in the learning process to obtain optimal learning results. This research aims to find outwhether there is a relationship between parent involvement and student engagement. Sampling used population study techniques, namely takingthe entire population as research respondents. The results of the distribution normality test on the parent involvement and student engagement scale on the One - Sample Kolmogorov Smirnov Test obtained sig 0.200 at p = (p> 0.05), meaning that the parent involvement and student engagement scale is distributed normally. Based on hypothesis testing analysis using product moment correlation, it produces a score of rxy = 0.321 with a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.01), which shows that there is a very significant positive relationship between parent involvement and student engagement. This means that the more positive parent involvement, the higher student engagement.
