Abstract
With the advancement of social media communication technology, particularly Instagram, it has become a significant source of information for society. An individual's satisfaction in choosing media can be influenced by the fulfillment of information needs and goals they wish to achieve. This research was conducted to examine further how motives influence the satisfaction of @uptblksurabaya Instagram account followers in receiving job training information. The theory used in this research is the uses and gratification theory, which focuses on media users or audiences, as they have active roles and specific goals when using media. The method used in this research is quantitative method, which aims to test the theory used and show the relationships between variables. The results of this research indicate that there is an influence of motives on the satisfaction of @uptblksurabaya Instagram account followers in receiving job training information. Thus, the hypothesis used in this research is accepted, namely there is an influence both partially by the independent variables on the dependent variable.
