Abstract

Ketidakpuasan tubuh adalah perasaan negatif individu terhadap bentuk tubuhnya sendiri. Dari ketidakpuasan tubuh maka remaja cenderung mengevaluasi diri secara kritis dan menerapkan standar yang tidak realistis yang dipengaruhi dari pandangan lingkungan sosial yang menyebabkan remaja membandingkan dirinya dengan orang lain yang dirasa memiliki tubuh lebih ideal. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara komparasi sosial dan perfeksionisme dengan ketidakpuasan tubuh pada remaja pengguna media sosial. Populasi dari penelitian ini merupakan remaja berusia 13 – 18 tahun yang menggunakan media sosial dan berdomisili di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik accidental sampling dengan responden 274 remaja. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala ketidakpuasan tubuh Rosen & Reiter, skala perfeksionisme Flett & Hewitt, dan skala komparasi sosial Gibsoon dan Buunk. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier ganda dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (<0,01) dengan Rsquare 0,576. Hasil dari analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara perfeksionisme dan komparasi sosial dengan ketidakpuasan tubuh pada remaja pengguna media sosial. Dari hasil uji parsial terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara perfeksionisme dengan ketidakpuasan tubuh pada remaja pengguna media sosial (t=7,550; B= 0,722), dan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara komparasi sosial dengan ketidakpuasan tubuh pada remaja pengguna media sosial (t=14,130; B=1,234).
