Abstract

Online games have become part of popular culture among children and adults, one of them is Valorant, an FPS (First Person Shooter) game that was developed by Riot Games in 2020. This study aims to examine the differences in This study aims to examine the differences in the toxic verbal communication behavior of Valorant game players when playing (in-game/front stage) and outside the game (out-game/back stage). Using descriptive qualitative method, this research involved four informants through in-depth interviews. The results The results showed that most players continued to communicate verbally toxic both during and after playing, while a minority choose not to do so.
