Abstract

CV. Sinar Gemilang merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang distribusi minyak goreng berkemasan botol, yang mana jenis produk salah satunya adalah Minyakita. Tata letak fasilitas yang tidak terstruktur dapat menyebabkan peningkatan biaya, terutama akibat penempatan barang yang tidak tepat dan kurangnya perhatian terhadap jarak perpindahan barang. Tidak efisienan ini sering menimbulkan tantangan dalam material handling. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif, termasuk perhitungan jarak, frekuensi, momen material handling, dan biaya untuk menilai efektivitas tata letak yang dirancang ulang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang tata letak gudang yang meminimalkan jarak perpindahan material dan mengurangi biaya material handling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tata letak awal menghasilkan biaya material handling sebesar IDR 2.860.000 per bulan dengan total jarak perpindahan 300,80 meter. Sebaliknya, tata letak usulan berhasil menurunkan biaya material handling menjadi IDR 2.761.200 per bulan dengan jarak yang lebih pendek, yaitu dengan total jarak 241,17 meter.
