Abstract
UD Mr. Froniez is a company that produces crispy brownie chips. In the finished goods warehouse at UD Mr. Froniez, there is often insufficient space due to production reaching up to 253 cartons, while the warehouse capacity is only 48 cartons. Due to other factors as well, the owner decided to move all activities, starting from raw material storage, production, and finished goods storage, to another location. The problem is that there is no layout for the new warehouse yet. With this problem, this research aims to design the warehouse layout based on the Shared Storage method while considering its Material Handling. In addition to changing the layout of the finished goods warehouse, the owner plans to relocate the factory, therefore the new layout of UD. Mr. Froniez's factory was arranged considering the results of the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) approach. This research aims to provide considerations for the owner of UD Mr. Froniez in arranging the layout of the facilities in the new warehouse. The research results show that the raw materials warehouse, which initially measured 11.30, has been reduced to 10.32. Then the finished goods warehouse, which initially could only hold 48 boxes, can now hold up to 123 boxes per day. By changing the layout of the production space as well, the production flow has become more organized and systematic.
