Abstract

Congestion is one of the problems that occur in Sidoarjo, the occurrence of congestion due to the buildup of vehicle volumes that are not proportional to the capacity of the road, namely the presence of a buildup of vehicles that cause a traffic flow on a road section, coupled with illegal parking on the edge of the road resulting in a narrowing of the road so that vehicles passing through are forced to walk slowly and even congestion can occur. One of the causes of congestion that occurs on Jalan Raya Jenggolo Sidoarjo is caused by the activities of the MINU Pucang School, which parks its vehicles on the side of the road, especially delivery/pick-up vehicles using 4 wheeled vehicles such as private cars. It is known that the activity in the Jenggolo Highway area is busy during the operation of elementary schools in the surrounding area, namely every day except elementary school holidays. For peak hours on Jalan Jenggala in the morning around 07-00 - 09.00 WIB, in the afternoon around 11.00 - 13.00 WIB, and in the afternoon around 16.00 - 18.00 WIB. The purpose of this analysis is to find out the congestion problems that occur on Jalan Raya Jenggolo Sidoarjo and get the most done solution to reduce congestion on Jalan Raya Jenggolo Sidoarjo.
