Abstract

The development of the industrial world in Indonesia is currently showing progress. The more the industrial world develops, the more companies' efforts to improve their competitive advantage in the market develop. In general, the fashion industry is currently able to contribute 50% or even more to the country's income in the creative industry sector and there is a 2-3% export growth each year. There are several factors that make Muslim fashion continue to grow, especially in Indonesia. From the emergence of many Hijabers Community communities, Hijabers Mom, to the holding of various bazaars, and Muslim fashion shows. The purpose of this study is to analyze raw material inventory planning using the MRP (Material Requirement Planning) method in an effort to be cost efficient. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques are through observation and interviews. The results of this study are (1) using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) technique can minimize raw material inventory costs (2) companies have not implemented the MRP method due to lack of understanding (3) the minimum cost for planning raw material inventory for hijab is the EOQ method which is more efficient and cost-effective. The recommendation that the researcher suggests for the Company is to apply the MRP method in raw material inventory planning to minimize costs. It is hoped that the results of this study can be a guideline for further researchers who are researching raw material inventory planning. And for further researchers, they can develop research objectives that they want to research and focus more on what is being researched.
