Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dan adiksi media sosial dengan kecemasan sosial pada mahasiswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya yang berjumlah 1.347 Mahasiswa. Sedangkan partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 300 responden diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan skala yang digunakan yaitu skala kepercayaan diri, adiksi media sosial, dan skala kecemasan sosial. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan program komputer IBS SPSS versi 27.00 for windows. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dan adiksi media sosial dengan kecemasan sosial pada mahasiswa dengan skor F sebesar 83,543 dengan signifikansi 0,000. Secara parsial terdapat hubungan negatif antara kepercayaan diri dengan kecemasan sosial dengan nilai t sebesar -8,442 dengan signifikansi 0,000 serta terdapat hubungan positif antara adiksi media sosial dengan kecemasan sosial dengan nilai t sebesar 4,460 dengan signifikansi 0,000. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan dapat diterima.
