Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out, understand and explain the discussion of legal protection that can be obtained by victims of violence against women during dating and the development of legal regulations that regulate legal protection against violence during dating for female victims. The type of research used in this research is normative legal research using a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The results of the research show that the efforts that can be made to provide legal protection to women who are victims of violence during dating are by: Re-regulating acts of violence against women in statutory provisions, so that they can cover many behaviors that until now have not been covered in legislation and the enactment of legal provisions that provide special protection for women who are victims of violence. Legal regulations related to the protection of women who experience violence during dating are regulated in Law Number 31 of 2014 Article 1 paragraph (3) concerning Amendments to Law Number 13 of 2006 concerning Protection of Witnesses and Victims, Law Number 23 of 2004 Article 1 point (3) concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence, and Law Number 27 of 2004 Article 1 number (5) concerning the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. The government should facilitate services to victims of violence in accordance with minimum service standards in the form of handling, complaints, social rehabilitation, legal enforcement and assistance, repatriation and social reintegration. Apart from that, as women we have to be firm in avoiding unwanted things.
