Abstract

Setiap tahun selama musim penghujan, Indonesia sering menghadapi tantangan besar berupa banjir, khususnya banjir bandang yang muncul secara tiba-tiba dan menyebabkan kerusakan yang signifikan. Banjir besar dapat terjadi ketika permukaan sungai naik drastis akibat curah hujan yang tinggi, waduk yang tidak mampu menampung volume air yang berlebihan, atau sistem saluran air yang buruk. Ketinggian air yang melampaui bantaran sungai juga sering mengakibatkan daerah di sekitar sungai terendam.Penyebab banjir sangat beragam, termasuk tanah yang tidak mampu menyerap air secara efisien, badai atau topan yang membawa hujan deras,kenaikan permukaan laut akibat perubahan iklim, serta gelombang tsunami. Selain itu, banjir dapat terjadi karena sistem drainase yang tersumbat oleh sampah atau sedimen, sehingga air hujan tidak dapat mengalir dengan baik. Struktur jalan yang tidak dirancang untuk mengatasi banjir juga dapat memperparah situasi, menyebabkan genangan air yang merusak infrastruktur dan menghambat mobilitas masyarakat.Oleh karena itu, sangat penting untuk memiliki sistem pemantauan atau monitoring banjir yang efektif, yang dapat memberikan informasi real-time tentang kondisi kenaikan volume air di sekitar kita. Sistem ini dapat menggunakan berbagai teknologi canggih seperti sensor ultrasonik untuk mengukur ketinggian air dari letak sensor, dan sensor curah hujan atau raindrop untuk mengukur intensitas hujan yang turun. Data yang diperoleh dari sensor-sensor ini kemudian dikirimkan ke sebuah platform berbasis web melalui mikrokontroler berbasis ESP8266, yang memungkinkan transmisi data yang cepat dan efisien.Dengan adanya sistem ini, informasi mengenai kondisi kenaikan volume air dapat diakses oleh pengguna kapan saja dan di mana saja, asalkan terdapat sambungan internet. Hal ini memberikan keuntungan besar, karena masyarakat dapat memantau situasi banjir secara langsung dan mengambil tindakan preventif yang diperlukan untuk menghindari dampak buruk.
