Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between self-determination and career decision-making difficulties for class XII students at SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya. The sampling technique for this research is quota sampling, with the sample obtained being 155 students. The data colection instruments in this study used a self-determination scale and a career decision-making difficulty scale. This research uses quantitative research methods. The data analysis technique used is Spearman rho correlation. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that there is a very significant negative relationship between self-determination and difficulty in making career decisions for students. The research results illustrate that the higher the self-determination of students, the lower the difficulty in making career decisions.
