Abstract

Motor vehicles, especially motorcycles, are very common means of transportation used in everyday life. Therefore, monitoring the feasibility and temperature of engine oil is one of the important aspects of vehicle maintenance. This research aims to design and build an ESP32-based vehicle engine oil temperature and feasibility monitoring tool that can be accessed via an Android device. This tool uses a turbidity sensor to detect the quality level of engine oil and a DS18B20 sensor to measure oil temperature. The data obtained by this tool is sent wirelessly via a Wi-Fi network to the user's Android device, so that vehicle owners can monitor the condition of engine oil easily and quickly. The benefits of this research include more efficient monitoring of engine oil conditions, prevention of engine damage, and the use of IoT technology in vehicle maintenance. It also provides a more economical and efficient solution for monitoring engine oil conditions compared to existing solutions. With a focus on motorcycles, this research resulted in a tool capable of improving overall motor vehicle maintenance. This research helps realize the vision of smarter engine oil monitoring that can be easily accessed by vehicle owners.
