Abstract

One of the causes of traffic accidents is the lack of knowledge of car drivers about traffic signs. This happens because there is a relationship between the influence of knowledge and the occurrence of traffic accidents. This lack of knowledge can be solved by socializing or educating traffic sign recognition. Along with the times, the use of a technology-based learning environment has become the main solution for educating car drivers. One of these technology-based learning can be in the form of educational games for car drivers. Game is often interpreted as a means of entertainment in the form of multimedia which is made as attractive as possible so that a player gets inner satisfaction in his spare time. In this day and age games are starting to be used as learning media for someone who can access them. Therefore the implementation of traffic sign recognition education through games is considered more effective than learning through material at school. In this study, an educational game was presented about the introduction of traffic signs for car drivers using Windows-based Unity. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method of collecting data by means of interviews. The results obtained from this study are that this game has been tested and is expected to run as expected. The author also hopes that this game can be used by players to understand traffic signs and regulations.
