Abstract

Di era modern, game online telah menjadi aspek penting dalam kehidupan di Jawa Timur, terutama bagi remaja dan dewasa muda. Studi ini mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi niat bermain game online, dengan fokus pada kepercayaan, kesenangan, dan norma sosial. Data dikumpulkan dari 400 mahasiswa di Surabaya dan Malang, menggunakan analisis jalur untuk memeriksa hubungan antar variabel. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap niat bermain game karena ketidaksesuaian antara konten yang dipasarkan dan konten aktual game. Namun, sikap secara signifikan memediasi hubungan antara kesenangan dan niat, dengan pembaruan terus-menerus meningkatkan keterlibatan. Norma sosial juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap niat melalui tekanan teman sebaya dan kegiatan kebersamaan sosial. Wawasan ini dapat membantu pengembang game lokal mengoptimalkan strategi pasar dan mengatasi tantangan, serta menyoroti pentingnya sikap dan norma sosial dalam membentuk niat bermain game di Jawa Timur. Temuan ini memberikan panduan berharga bagi pengembang untuk meningkatkan relevansi dan daya tarik game online di kalangan pemain muda.
