Abstract

Ekokritik berfungsi sebagai sarana untuk menyalurkan gagasan maupun kritik yang berhubungan dengan fenomena kerusakan lingkungan yang disebabkan oleh manusia. Dengan pendekatan ekologi sastra, ekokritik dapat menjadi penghubung antara karya sastra dan alam untuk membuat manusia lainnya menjadi lebih sadar akan pentingnya keberadaan alam yang berdampingan dengan manusia dan makhluk hidup lainnya. Dalam anime Chikyuu Shoujo Arjuna gagasan tersebut disampaikan dengan adanya masalah-masalah lingkungan yang timbul akibat ulah manusia dan upaya penyelesaian masalah lingkungan dengan prinsip etika lingkungan hidup. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan data berupa dialog dan potongan gambar sebagai pendukung, yang berkaitan dengan masalah-masalah lingkungan hidup dan upaya penyelesaian permasalahan lingkungan yang ada dalam anime Chikyuu Shoujo Arjuna. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan ditemukan 15 masalah lingkungan alam yang dikategorikan menjadi lima, yaitu pencemaran yang disebabkan oleh kegiatan industri dan kegiatan pertanian, timbul berbagai penyakit, pemanfaatan alam secara tidak terkendali, kepadatan penduduk, dan menurunnya populasi flora dan fauna. Dan 6 upaya penyelesaian permasalahan lingkungan yang dikategorikan menjadi empat, diantaranya prinsip tanggung jawab, solidaritas kosmis, prinsip kasih sayang dan keperdulian terhadap alam, dan prinsip tidak merugikan.
