Abstract

The development of information and communication technology today has a considerable impact on aspects of human life and behaviour. This can be utilised to increase children's interest and involvement in learning. The utilisation of this technological development can be seen from the use of augmented reality technology in educational media that has the ability to present a three-dimensional visual representation of the object being studied. Undoubtedly, this technology will greatly attract children's curiosity in the world of education because they can directly observe 3D visual representations in real-time. Therefore, this research involves the development of an application prototype that utilises augmented reality to identify chemistry laboratory tools. It aims to introduce children to chemical laboratory tools and provide a unique opportunity for them to acquire knowledge and familiarise themselves with the tools as well as avoid them from work accidents that occur in the laboratory environment with three-dimensional visual representations.
