Abstract
This research is titled "Sakoku Decree in Genshin Impact Video Game Produced by Hoyoverse". This research aims to understand the concept, rules, and impact of the Sakoku Decree enacted by Inazuma's leader, Raiden Shogun, in the video game Genshin Impact. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. This research analyzes various aspects about Sakoku, including its definition, regulations, and impact, especially the impact on Inazuma and its people. Sakoku is defined as the isolationist policy implemented by the Shogunate in Inazuma, a policy that restricts contact with the outside world. This research identifies various Sakoku regulations, such as restrictions on trade and travel, prohibition of the use of Vision, and strict control of information and access in and out of tourists. The impact of the Sakoku Decree on Inazuma is examined from various perspectives. Economically, Sakoku hindered the progress and limited the opportunities of the people, which also automatically made Inazuma's international economy suffer. Socially, it created tension between the people and injustice, and hindered cultural development in Inazuma. Politically, Sakoku strengthened the Shogunate's control and restricted the people's freedoms, which tended to make people who felt their freedoms were being taken away, start coalitions and form rebellion forces. This research concludes that Sakoku is an important element in Inazuma's world, with significant influence on various aspects of life. This analysis paves the way for further research on the impact of the Sakoku Decree on the characters and story in the game Genshin Impact.
