Abstract
Orchids are highly desirable ornamental plants because of the variety of shapes, sizes, and colors of their flowers. This diversity is an attraction for ornamental plant lovers around the world. These plants grow uniquely, attached to tree trunks or rocks, and depend on air for nutrients. To grow well, orchid plants need proper humidity. Lack of moisture can cause problems such as dry leaves or stunted growth. Automatic watering is a practical solution for orchid plant owners. The system eases the need for time-consuming manual watering, allowing owners to customize the watering schedule based on the needs of the plant. The system can also be controlled via cell phone application or internet with remote control. This research focuses on the design of an automatic watering device for orchid plants using Telegram as a control platform. The goal is to design a system that is efficient and effective in maintaining plant growth and health. This research limits the focus to one type of orchid with similar growth characteristics, the use of charcoal media as a plant substrate, and the development of a control system using Telegram.
