Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis perubahan makna wasei eigo (kata-kata yang diambil dari bahasa Inggris dan kemudian disesuaikan dengan aturan bahasa Jepang) yang digunakan oleh tiga selebgram di Instagram, yaitu @Tfjok, @10969Taka, dan @Lilasikuta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk wasei eigo yang digunakan oleh ketiga selebgram tersebut serta perubahan makna yang terjadi pada wasei eigo tersebut dalam konteks penggunaannya di Instagram. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa postingan di akun Instagram ketiga selebgram tersebut yang mengandung unsur wasei eigo. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik simak dan catat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk wasei eigo, mengklasifikasikan perubahan makna yang terjadi, dan mendeskripsikan perubahan makna tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa bentuk wasei eigo yang digunakan oleh ketiga selebgram, antara lain kata majemuk, abreviasi, dan penggabungan unsur bahasa Jepang dan Inggris. Selain itu, juga ditemukan perubahan makna pada wasei eigo tersebut, seperti perluasan makna, penyempitan makna, dan perubahan makna total. Perubahan makna tersebut terjadi karena penyesuaian wasei eigo dengan konteks penggunaan di Instagram oleh ketiga selebgram.
