Abstract

Arester adalah salah satu perangkat dalam sistem tenaga listrik yang dapat melindungi peralatan Listrik dari gangguan eksternal yang disebabkan oleh tegangan lebih surja petir. Analisis karakteristik arrester bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja arester dalam melindungi trafo dari bahaya sambaran petir. Dengan mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tegangan dan arus surja, jarak arester, kecuraman gelombang datang, kecepatan gelombang surja dan Basic Insulation Level (BIL). Laju kegagalan proteksi arester tergantung pada tingkat isolasi dasar (TID) peralatan, tegangan operasi dan lokasi penempatan arester. Kajian Teknis dan hasil analisis dan perhitungan Nilai Tegangan Pengenal dari Arrester ini yang dipasang pada arrester secara kontinyu tanpa mempengaruhi karakteristik kerjanya. Disimpulkan bahwa nilai tegangan pengenal arrester sebesar 22 kV, mendekati nilai standar tegangan pengenal SPLN D5.006:2013 penempatan tingkat isolasi trafo dan penangkap petir tegangan pengenal pada arrester 20 kV yaitu 24 kV Pada sistem distribusi dan nilai faktor dari perlindungan tingkat dari arrester. Setelah dihasilkannya nilai tingkat perlindungan sebesar 95,7 kV, untuk mencari nilai faktor perlindungan dengan nilai TID transformator sebesar 125kV yang telah ditetapkan. Nilai faktor perlindungan sebesar 23, 44 % dengan Faktor Perlindungan yang dihasilkan nilainya lebih besar 20% dari faktor toleransinya,sehingga pada pemilihan arrester sudah memberikan faktor perlindungan yang sangat baik dan untuk nilai arus bocor tertinggi terjadi di phasa pada lightning arrester di trafo daya AC 529 Dan AC 829 nilai arus bocor mencapai nilai tersebut sesuai batas standar internasional IEC 61643-1 yaitu sebesar 1mA.
