Abstract

The design of this system is motivated by several problems related to attendance that are implemented in Pro Mush Gallery, such as cheating by field teams, long time needed for attendance recap, and several issues related to monitoring permissions, leave, and employee work activities. The aim of this research is to develop and deliver a point of sale (POS) information system that can be used to improve store operations. POS systems play an important role in managing sales, inventory and transactions in stores. However, many businesses use manual methods in their operations, which often leads to errors, slow processing and loss of accurate information. This research uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall model method with the Black-box testing method as well as a system design and development approach which includes needs analysis, system design, implementation and evaluation. Data collection methods include interviews with shop owners, direct observation and review of relevant literature. The result of this research is an integrated and computerized POS information system that is tailored to shop needs. This system includes functions such as inventory recording, sales management, transaction recording and sales reports. During system implementation, shopkeepers and employees were trained to ensure understanding and effective use. Evaluation was carried out by comparing the operational efficiency of the shop before and after the use of the POS information system. Evaluation results show significant improvements in transaction processing time, inventory accuracy and real-time sales data availability. In addition, the use of a POS information system also reduces the possibility of human error, simplifies campaign and discount management, and improves customer experience. The conclusion of this research is that the use of a POS information system can provide significant benefits in increasing productivity and customer satisfaction. It is hoped that this research can serve as a guide for shop owners to implement and implement POS information systems to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of their shops.
