Abstract

Money is an object that is often used by Indonesian people as a legal means of payment, as well as being a symbol of state sovereignty that should be respected and proud. So it is also important to study its history because the role of money has existed since ancient times, but many people still don't understand the knowledge about currency in Indonesia. In the research, a game development was carried out about ancient Indonesian currency with the RPG genre using the MDA Framework method for game design. From the results of testing on 30 respondents aged 12 – 30 years in terms of the insight aspect, namely the comparison of pre-test and post-test, there was an increase from an average of 28 for the pre-test and an average of 81.67 for the post-test so that this game adds insight into knowledge about the eye of money. Then the test results for the relationship factor aspect with the model used to test the flow factor have an influence on perceived learning, only a few factors have an influence, this is because the model used to test games is not an RPG, whereas in this research we tested games with the RPG genre.
