Abstract

Self-perception is one of the factors that influence the decision-making of college majors in high school students. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self-perception and decision making for college majors in high school students. The higher the student's self-perception, the higher the ability to make decisions about college majors. When students' self perception is higher, this directly affects students' ability to make decisions about the college majors they will choose. Students can be said to have self perception if they can observe their own behavior by identifying and expressing attitudes in various circumstances within themselves. The population in this study were all high school students totaling 324 students. Participants in this study were 235 students using the quota sampling technique. The method for data analysis used is product moment correlation with the help of IBM SPSS series 25 for windows. The results showed r = 0, 798 with a significance of 0.000 (p < 0.01). This means that the hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between self-perception and decision making for college majors.
