Abstract

Sistem tenaga listrik dibagi menjadi tiga bagian, yaitu sistem pembangkit, sistem transmisi, dan sistem distribusi. Pada setiap bagian kelistrikan memiliki potensi gangguan yang dapat terjadi. gangguan yang terjadi pada transmisi yaitu terjadinya gangguan hubungan singkat. PT. PLN (Persero) menggunakan proteksi utama yaitu rele jarak. Rele jarak digunakan untuk menentukan titik lokasi gangguan dengan pembagian daerah keamanan zona 1, zona 2, dan zona 3. Impedansi listrik sering disebutkan sebagai jumlah hambatan listrik sebuah komponen elektronik terhadap aliran arus dalam rangkaian pada frekuensi tertentu. Pada perhitungan setting waktu kerja distance rele di dapat nilai setting dengan selektivitas waktu kerja cukup cepat peralatan proteksi tersebut. Hasil perhitungan setting waktu pada distance rele pada GIS 150 KV bay line Rungkut I menunjukkan bahwa distance rele akan bekerja terlebih dahulu jika terjadi gangguan dengan waktu kerja zona 1 = 0 second, zona 2 = 0,8 second,dan zona 3 = 1,2 – 1,6 second. Setting relay jarak pada GIS 150 KV bay line Rungkut I adalah zone 1 = 2,67 ohm, zone 2 = 4,84 ohm dan zona 3 = 9,39 ohm, sedangkan secara perhitungan matematis zona 1 = 3,03 ohm, zona 2 = 5,46 ohm, dan zona 3 = 10,20 ohm. Berdasarkan dari perhitungan secara matematis penentuan titik lokasi gangguan mengunakan metode impedansi menunjukkan hampir mendekati jarak gangguan yang di baca fault locator, secara perhitungan matematis yaitu 14,36 km, sedangkan pada fault locator yaitu 14,35 km. Mendapatkan nilai error 0,06 %.
