Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between satisfaction with watching Valorant and interest in watching casters among Indonesian teenagers. Using a quantitative approach with survey methods, this research involved 102 teenage respondents who actively watched the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) competition on YouTube. The results of the analysis show that there is a strong positive correlation (r = 0.627, p < 0.001) between satisfaction with watching Valorant and interest in watching casters. Viewing satisfaction contributed 39.4% to caster viewing interest, while the remaining 60.6% was influenced by other factors. Factors that influence a caster's interest in watching include content quality, presentation style, interaction with the audience, and the caster's ability to provide analysis. These findings provide valuable insights for game developers, streaming platforms, and casters in improving content quality and engagement strategies to attract youth audiences. This research examines the relationship between satisfaction with watching Valorant and interest in watching casters among Indonesian teenagers using quantitative methods. Using a survey approach, this research involved 102 teenage respondents who actively watched the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) competition on YouTube. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Pearson correlation test, linear regression analysis, and ANOVA test. The results show a significant positive correlation (r = 0.627, p < 0.001) between satisfaction with watching Valorant and interest in watching casters. Regression analysis revealed that viewing satisfaction contributed 39.4% to the variation in caster viewing interest (R² = 0.394). The ANOVA test confirmed the significance of the model (F = 64.895, p < 0.001). Factors that influence a caster's viewing interest include the quality of analysis, playback style, and ability. These findings provide valuable quantitative insights for the e-sports industry in developing strategies to increase youth audience engagement.
