Abstract

Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane atau yang sering disebut sebagai RTG merupakan sebuah alat shore crane yang digunaka untuk keperluan bongkar muat di pelabuhan, rubber tyred gantry crane terdapat komponen berupa spreader yang digunakan untuk menjapit container, spreader ini digerakkan oleh komponen berupa motor hoist. Spreader ini sering terjadi kerusakan yang diakibatkan pengoperasiannya sering bertabrakan dengan container dengan kecepatan tinggi.Sehingga jika terjadi kerusakan maka akan memakan waktu lama untuk melakukan perbaikan sehingga dapat mengakibatkan kerugian untuk industri. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebutt maka peneliti membuat sistem prototype untuk mengatur kecepatan putaran motor hoist. Dengan menerapkan kendali hoist menggunakan plc dan fuzzy logic menggunakan sensor ultrasonic hc-sr 04 untuk mendeteksi jarak spreader terhadap beban container. Kontrol dari sistem ini menggunakan sistem fuzzy logic. Input dari fuzzy ini berupa nilai jarak pada sensor ultrasonic hc-sr 04 pada spreader untuk menentukan kondisi jarak aman yang outputnya nanti digunakan untuk mengendalikan kecepatan motor melalui perubahan frekuensi variable frequency drive maka nantinya dapat mengurangi kecepatan motor hoist sehingga tingkat kerusakan pada spreader sedikit berkurang. Metode penulisan penelitian ini dimulai dari mencari refrensi dari beberapa penelitian ilmiah terdahulu , langkah selanjutnya adalah merencang desain protoype. Langkah terakhir adalah proses pengujian sensor dan menganalisa alat.
