Abstract
Komposit alami, sangat diminati menjadi bahan material karena biayanya yang cukup murah, ramah lingkungan, dan simpel ditemukan pada alam. dalam penelitian ini, serat kelapa dipergunakan menjadi bahan komposit sebab tumbuhan kelapa sangat banyak di Indonesia, ini menunjukkan bahwa serat kelapa memiliki potensi buat menjadi bahan penelitian yang sangat baik. Studi ini bertujuan buat mengetahui sifat mekanik material komposit serat serabut kelapa yang dirancang dari campuran pasir besi, serbuk tempurung kelapa, dan resin epoxy. Penelitian ini bertujuan buat mengetahui bagaimana imbas bahan komposit serat serabut kelapa menggunakan variasi fraksi berat campuran pasir besi dengan serbuk tempurung kelapa terhadap keausan serta kekerasan. Bedasarkan akibat penelitian analisa dampak komposisi bahan dengan variasi berat pasir serta serbuk tempurung kelapa menjadi bahan matrial cara lain pembuatan kampas rem sepeda motor dapat disimpulkan pada hasil pengujian spesimen komposit serat serabut kelapa , pasir besi dan bubuk tempurung kelapa. Nilai kekerasan yg paling mendekati nilai standart kampas rem KMP ialah spesimen serat 5 persen PB 70 persen STK 30 persen dengan resin epoxy 77,5 persen. didapat nilai kekerasan 73,2 (HD) bahwa dapat disimpulkan semakin dikit serat serabut kelapa serta komposisi pengisi pasir besi akan menghasilkan meningkat nilai kekerasan. dan akibat nilai keausan spesifik tertinggi terdapat pada spesimen dua dengan serat 2,5 PB 30 persen STK 70 persen dengan nilai keausan khusus 0,013361500 (mm3/Kg.m) bahwa semakin sedikit serat semakin tinggi nilai keausan sepesifik
