Abstract

Tanah lempung ekspansif merupakan tanah yang dapat mengalami kembang susut Ketika perubahan cuaca, perbaikan tanah dengan metode stabilisasi pada tanah lempung ekspansif merupakan suatu hal yang harus dilakukan sebelum mendirikan suatu bangunan. Perbaikan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah mencapurkan abu sekam padi dengan presentase 5%, 10%, 15% dan 20% dengan waktu pemeraman 14 hari. Penelitian ini melakukan beberapa pengujian dari sifat fisis dan mekanis, pengujian sifat fisis diantaranya pengujian Kadar Air, Volumetri dan Gravimetri, Atterberg limit, Analisa Batuan Tanah (Analisa ayakan dan analisa hidrometer). Sedangkan, sifat mekanis yaitu pengujian Standart Proctor Test. Hasil penelitian pada sifat fisik tanah setelah penambahan bahan stabilisasi abu sekam padi pada pengujian Kadar Air terendah pada presentase 20% sebesar 17,9%, pengujian Batas – Batas Konsistensi pada nilai Plastis indeks (PI) terendah pada presentase 20% sebesar 24,194%, pada pengujian Berat Volume tanah terbesar pada presentase 10% sebesar 1,856 gr/cm3, pada pengujian Berat Jenis tanah paling ideal pada presentase 5% sebesar 2,740, pada pengujian Analisa saringan tertahan No. 200 paling optimal pada presentase 20% sebesar 21,74%. Sifat mekanik pada pengujian pemadatan (Standart Proctor Test) Mendapatkan kadar air optimum (OMC) dan berat volume kering (MDD) pada presentase 5% dengan nilai (OMC) 23,46% sebesar dan (MDD) sebesar 1,483 gr/cm3.
