Abstract

The purpose of this study was conducted to determine whether there is an effect of Entrepreneurial Skills (X1) and Business Environment (X2) on Business Performance (Y) in Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) Sunday Market Saimbang Hamlet in Sidoarjo. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data were obtained from 100 MSEs in Sunday Market Saimbang Hamlet Sidoarjo through a questionnaire. The sample technique used is purposive sampling technique which is included in the type of non probability sampling. The data analysis techniques used in this research are Classical Assumption Test, Multiple Linear Regression Test, Determination Coefficient (R2), Partial Test (t) and Simultaneous Test (F). The results of this study indicate that the variables of Entrepreneurial Skills and Business Environment partially and simultaneously have a positive influence on Business Performance in Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) Sunday Market Saimbang Hamlet in Sidoarjo. Therefore, business actors in the Sunday Market of Saimbang Sidoarjo are expected to improve their skills in promoting their products, for example by providing attractive promos to provide tasters to consumers. In addition, in working with other parties, they can maintain communication and trust to prevent misunderstanding and build stronger relationships with other parties or work relationships, this will increase sales growth and business profit growth.
