Abstract

Basically the purpose of establishing a company is to obtain large profits. Profit or gain can be obtained from good financial performance in the company. Apart from that, it can also be used as consideration in making decisions and planning future improvements. Performance in a company can be used as a measuring tool to achieve the success of a company. In principle, the better the company's financial performance, the better the company's achievements in generating profits. The aim of this research is to analyze liquidity ratios and profitability ratios which measure the financial performance of PT. Semen Indonesia, Tbk and provide suggestions for improvements to existing problems within the company to improve the company's financial performance. This study uses a qualitative method. The qualitative method is a method that is descriptive, uses analysis, is related to data, uses existing theories as supporting material, and allows theories to be developed. The object of this research is the annual financial report of the company PT. Semen Indonesia, Tbk starting from 2021 – 2023. This research uses liquidity ratios, namely the current ratio and quick ratio methods as well as profitability ratios using the net profit margin, ROA and ROE methods. The results of this research show that calculations using liquidity ratios, profitability and economic added value of companies are in poor condition. PT. Semen Indonesia, Tbk cannot be said to have good financial performance because its financial position is still unstable. Therefore, companies need to manage their finances well so that company finances become stable. In calculating the economic added value of PT. In several years, Indonesian cement is still considered not good, because it has not yet succeeded in achieving a positive score.
