Abstract

The pace of Jaksel language content on YouTube Indonesia reflects broader trends in youth digital and social culture. Which also includes Communication Science Students of Universitas 17 August Surabaya. The purpose of this study is to identify how the audience's reception analysis in interpreting the content of "ABG Jaksel Language" on Youtube "Podcast Kesel Aje". The type of research conducted is Descriptive Qualitative with the method of Phenomenological Analysis of Stuart Hall's Reception Theory and using Forum Group Disscussion (FGD). The results of the forum obtained using Stuart Hall's Reception Theory are Oppositional Position (understanding the message conveyed but firmly rejecting the message) in which 9 informants agree with the use of ABG Jaksel Language only for interaction with peers and writing digital works but the use of local languages or Indonesian is preferred in order to preserve the nation's culture.
