Abstract

Surabaya merupakan kota metropolitan terbesar di Jawa Timur. Kota Surabaya mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat, setiap tahunnya populasi kepadatan penduduk semakin bertambah. Pesatnya perkembangan kota mengakibatkan berbagai macam masalah dalam penyediaan sarana, prasarana dan lingkungan perumahan di perkotaan, hal ini disebabkan kurangnya lahan yang memadai. Dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut pemerintah kota Surabaya berencana membangun rumah susun sederhana milik. Dalam pembangunan rusunami yang perlu diperhatikan adalah fasilitas lingkungan sekitar yang bisa menunjang kebutuhan para penghuni rusunami,fasilitas Pendidikan, fasilitas Kesehatan, fasilitas pemerintahan, aksebilitas perlu di pertimbangkan. Dan yang perlu di perhatikan dalam pembangunan rusunami ini akan dibangun di lahan pemerintah kota Surabaya. Oleh karena itu, Lokasi tapak yang terpilih dalam perancangan rumah susun sederhana milik ini adalah di Medokan Ayu Surabaya. Dalam mendesain atau merancang sebuah bangunan terdapat beberapa aspek yang harus diperhatikan dan dipertimbangkan, seperti pengoptimalan pencahayaan, pengoptimalan penghawaan, vegetasi, efisiensi energi, meminimalkan radiasi matahari yang masuk ke dalam bangunan, dan pentaan area hijau. Pada saat semua elemen ini menjadi satu dalam sebuah rancangan akan menghasilkan kenyamanan dan berdampak pada Kesehatan fisik maupun mental, tentunya itu semua merupakan dampak positif dari penerapan terhadap bangunan. Dengan memanfaatkan semua aspek tersebut, bangunan juga dapat menghemat energi dan ramah terhadap lingkungan. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat merancang sebuah bangunan dengan prinsip arsitektur ekologis sebagai acuan dalam merancang sebuah bangunan hunian vertikal.
