Abstract
Dalam industri, bagian akhir dari proses manufaktur adalah perlakuan panas. Dalam proses ini, produk akan mengalami serangkaian pemanasan atau pendinginan untuk mengubah sifat mekanik dan struktur mikronya sesuai kebutuhan. Namun, perlakuan panas juga dapat menyebabkan ketidakstabilan dimensi jika parameternya tidak tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi ketebalan spesimen dan media pendingin pada proses perlakuan panas T6 terhadap kestabilan dimensi aluminium paduan 6061. Spesimen dibuat dengan variasi ketebalan 2, 4, dan 6mm, dan menggunakan media pendingin berupa air PDAM, air garam 10%, dan oli SAE 20W-50. Pengujian kestabilan dimensi dilakukan dengan menggunakan CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine). Penelitian mengenai material aluminium 6061 masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut pada aluminium paduan 6061 dengan variasi ketebalan spesimen dan media pendingin pada perlakuan panas T6 terhadap kestabilan dimensi. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa semakin tebal material, semakin besar perubahan dimensi yang terjadi. Spesimen dengan ketebalan 6mm menunjukkan ketidakstabilan dimensi yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ketebalan 4mm dan 2mm. Media pendingin air garam 10% menyebabkan distorsi yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan air PDAM dan oli SAE 20W-50, karena tingkat keparahan quenching (H) yang lebih tinggi pada air garam.
