Abstract
This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of content about beauty tips given by Kamila Jaidi on the level of knowledge of her followers in using skincare products. This research was conducted on Kamila Jaidi's followers on TikTok who have 1.7 million followers. The theories used in this study are media exposure theory, social cognitive theory, and Response Stimulus theory. This research method uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory type. Respondents were obtained by calculating the number of population using the slovin formula. Sample selection was carried out using a simple random sampling technique. The measurement scale in this study uses a likert scale with 5 answers, namely, strongly agree, agree, neutral, disagree, strongly disagree. And data testing is carried out using instrument tests which include validity tests and reliability tests and results are obtained. which is valid and reliable sig. The value of all questions < 0.5 and the value of rcalculation > r-table (0.361). And the results of the reliability test are called reliable. The Classical Assumption Test which includes a normality test with normal distribution, a linear test, a heteroscedasticity test in which no symptoms of heteroscedasticity occur. The hypothesis test was carried out using a simple linear regression test and a t-test with the result of a regression direction coefficient b(x)= 1.149 with a positive value, the T-calculated value obtained was 12, 394 Correlation test, and a determination test using the SPSS 29.0 program. . The results obtained are that Kamila Jaidi's beauty tip content on TikTok has a positive effect based on a simple linear regression test and has an influential power of 61% obtained from the determination test. And a correlation result of 0.781 was obtained, which means that the relationship between the two variables is strong. As well as the t-calculation value obtained > t-table + 12, 394 > 1.661 and was able to answer the research hypothesis with the result of H0 rejected and Ha accepted. So it can be concluded that Kamila Jaidi's exposure to beauty tip content on TikTok is able to affect the level of knowledge of her followers in using skincare products.
