Abstract

Bangkalan Regency is an area with a stunting rate in East Java with a prevalence reaching 26.2% in 2019. The seriousness of the Bangkalan Regency government in handling stunting cases is proven by the issuance of Regent Regulation Number 6 of 2019 concerning Reducing Stunting in Bangkalan Regency, as a guideline for implementing stunting reduction. This program applies to the first 1000 day of life program which is implemented by the Health Service, Social Service and community cadres. However, there are still many obstacles to its implementation which are inhibiting factors in reducing stunting. In 2022, through Presidential Regulation Number 72/2021 concerning the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction, it will be a complement to efforts to reduce stunting in Indonesia. Therefore, this research was conducted to review the evaluation of the stunting program based on Regent Regulation Number 6 of 2019 concerning Reducing Stunting in Bangkalan Regency. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method with data collection through observation, documentation and interviews based on evaluation theory by William N Dunn. The research results prove that the evaluation of the implementation of the first 1000 day of life program still cannot be said to be successful. This is because the adequacy indicators are still not met. The inhibiting factor in the adequacy indicator is the minimal budget available for the first 1000 day of life program, so that it cannot reach implementation in several areas that are considered far from the regional center. Apart from that, additional outreach is needed to increase public awareness of children's growth
