Abstract

PT. Aneka Coffee Industry is an Indonesian company engaged in the production of coffee, both in bean form and processed coffee products. This study aims to plan the warehouse layout using the 5S principles (Seiri, Seiso, Seiton, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke) at PT. Aneka Coffee Industry to minimize search time in several rooms, namely the archive lab room, the K3 room, and the technical warehouse room. The methods used in this study include the collection of primary and secondary data related to storage and item retrieval processes in the warehouse, as well as the application of the 5S principles. The analysis was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing the 5S principles in reducing item search time in several rooms, namely the archive lab room, the K3 room, and the technical warehouse room. The results of the study indicate that the application of the 5S principles can significantly improve room layout efficiency and reduce item search time. The implications of this study highlight the importance of implementing the 5S principles in warehouse layout planning to enhance company productivity and operational efficiency. In conclusion, integrating the 5S principles is an effective strategy for improving warehouse performance and reducing item search time.
