Abstract

PT Benteng Api Technic telah didirikan sejak tahun 1997 yang menghasilkan batu bata tahan api, semen tahan api dan berbagai material refractory. Semen tahan api atau castable saat ini masih menggunakan sistem pre-order sebelum dilakukan proses produksi. Saat observasi selama tujuh hari dengan 38 kali pengamatan ada aktivitas yang dirasa kurang efisien, kemudian dilakukan metode value stream mapping untuk mengefisiensikan waste. Hasilnya ialah defect pada saat proses produksi selesai terjadi pengulangan proses produksi krena tidak lulus uji kelayakan, processing karena banyak sisa material yang berjatuhan dibagian bagging dan material tersebut tidak digunakan lagi. Waiting ialah bagian menimbang material rata-rata/produk 1,54 detik (menunggu resep komposisi material dan timbangan platform trouble/eror). Bagian pencampuran material dengan rata-rata/produk 1,82 detik (menunggu perbaikan mesin karena saluran angin bocor). Total lead time produksi ialah 3396 detik. Setelah diketahui waste selanjutnya dengan mengeliminasi aktivitas dengan uji kecukupan data dan uji keseragaman data. Hasil analisa pada proses produksi castable ini terdapat 2 analisa, analisa pertama dengan mengurangi waktu aktivitas dengan total waktu rata-rata 3285 detik/44 semen dan analisa kedua dengan mengurangi dan menghilangkan aktivitas menimbang semen bagian bagging dengan total waktu 2873 detik/44 semen.
