Abstract

Television is considered the most effective means of communication compared to other types of mass media in delivering information. The attraction presented by television broadcasting media lies in the combination of audio-visual elements. The formulation of the problem in this research is How is the Production Management Process of the Cup Program on Surabaya TV. The purpose of this research is to explore the strategies applied by Surabaya TV in increasing audience engagement in the cup program and how the production management process is. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques by means of interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing. The results of this study are the production management strategy of Surabaya TV's cup program to increase audience engagement through the management process and the concept of strategy through Production Management theory which includes pre-production, production, post�production processes and Ecological theory regarding the implementation of strategies to increase audience engagement on Surabaya TV which are used appropriately and in accordance with the target.
