Abstract

The Surabaya City Government has been quite successful in reducing the stunting rate, because the ranks of participating agencies have helped in providing solutions to reduce the stunting problem in the City of Surabaya. Therefore, the City of Surabaya is quite effective in providing programs that run according to the goals to be achieved. In the process of handling the stunting problem, the Surabaya City Government launched the latest regulation, namely Mayor Regulation no. 79 of 2022 concerning the acceleration of stunting reduction in the city of Surabaya. This research uses qualitative research. Qualitative research is research about research that is descriptive and uses analysis. The conclusion of the research that has been carried out shows that the implementation of Perwali No. 79 of 2022 policy regarding reducing stunting rates through assistance for the first 1000 days of life in the city of Surabaya can be successful because the variables from Michael Hill and Peter Hupe's theory can work well. This is proven by the Policy Characteristics variable which is the aim of the policy taken, namely reducing the stunting rate in the city of Surabaya
